Overview

Vehicle Maintenance Tracker is a fully offline mobile application. We do not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data on external servers. All information you enter into the app — including vehicle details, maintenance records, costs, and reminders — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage.

Data We Collect

We do not collect any personal data. The app does not require an account, login, or internet connection to function. No analytics, crash reporting, or usage tracking libraries are included in the app.

• No name, email, or contact information
• No location or GPS data
• No device identifiers or advertising IDs
• No usage analytics or behavioral data
• No payment or financial information

How Your Data Is Stored

All data you enter is saved locally on your device using Hive, an offline key-value database. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it using the in-app backup feature.

• Data is stored in your device's private app storage
• Data is not accessible to other apps on your device
• Uninstalling the app removes all stored data permanently
• Exported backup files (JSON/CSV) are saved to a location you choose and are never uploaded automatically

App Permissions

The app requests only the minimum permissions required to function:

• Storage / Photos — to attach images to maintenance records (receipts, vehicle photos). Only accessed when you explicitly tap the attachment button.
• Notifications — to send local reminders for upcoming or overdue services. All notifications are generated on-device. No external push notification server is used.

Third-Party Services

The app does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cloud services. There are no ads in the app and no ad-related tracking.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from children. Since no data is collected from any user, this policy applies equally to all age groups.

Data Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it at all times.

• Delete individual records or vehicles within the app at any time
• Use Settings → "Clear All Data" to permanently delete everything
• Uninstalling the app removes all data automatically
• There is no account to close or remote data to request deletion of

Security

Your data is stored in your device's private app storage, which is sandboxed by the operating system and inaccessible to other apps. We recommend using your device's built-in screen lock and encryption features for additional security.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the new version will be published at this URL and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
